Starting from just a heap of bricks and stones today our college ' The College of Engineering, Thalassery ' almost 5 kms from Thalassery has become one of its own kind. The college is located on a hill called the Contour Hills. The college at present offers 3 branches, Computer science and Engg,Elec. & Commn. and Info. TechThe completed campus consists of five blocks, which include an administrative block and four department blocks and a number of auxiliary buildings for workshops, canteen, etc.

The College of Engineering, Thalassery is located at Kundoormala, Eranholi (West Ponniam), 6.5 km east of Thalassery town in Kannur (Cannanore) district. The college is situated on a hilltop with the Arabian Sea on one side and the Western Ghats on the other. The site is easily accessible by road.	One can alight at the Thalassery bus stand and catch one of the frequent buses to Kuthuparamba and alight at West Ponniam. Those traveling by train should alight at Thalassery Railway Station and get the bus to Kuthuparamba from the Thalassery Bus Stand.
